The Challenge

In a world where consumers are used to have instant access to information and services through the internet, and where the usage of mobile phones has long since surpassed the simple phone call, Bank Santander was challenged to deliver services directly in to the hand of its customers, anywhere, at any time, and using any mobile phone.

The challenge was to create a multi-channel solution, that would be able to provide service either through text messaging or more advanced and user-friendly interfaces on any mobile phone or PDA. The critical factors for success were to be able to manage all channels from a single point, to have a simple way of offering new services to the customer, to have independence in managing the available services, and to be able to increase the number of interaction channels available to the customer.

The Solution

Santander chose TEKEVER's mBPMTM Platform to support all channels of its Mobile Banking. Joining business and IT experts from Santander, ISBAN and TEKEVER, the project team had the challenge to create the most advanced and user-friendly mobile banking solution in the market.

With total success, the team used mBPMTM to create a solution that today provides Santander customers with the ability to manage their account information from anywhere, at anytime, using almost any type of mobile device. The solution offers access to some of the most common consumer transactions such as balance inquiries, gyro transfers, payments, debit and credit card management and pre-paid phone recharging.
