TEKEVER History
From inception to 2004
TEKEVER was incepted in 2001 with the intent of
creating technologies for the EVERNET. The bootstrapping strategy was
to sell innovative solutions to the enterprise market, and invest 100%
of results in the creation of a technical evernet-enabled platform,
and products that could make this technology available to every
company, community and person.
Based on the accumulated expertise in embedded systems
and mobile communication technologies, TEKEVER was able to succeed as
a solutions company, selling and delivering ground breaking solutions
to major organizations in Southern Europe, and collaborating in
international advanced research projects for the European Space Agency
and the European Commission.
Between 2001 and the end of 2004 achieved a leading position in the mobile
solutions market, creating solutions for leading organizations in
Banking, Retail & Distribution, Energy & Utilities, Telecom, Services,
Manufacturing and Aerospace, having more than 200 customers and more
than 15 international references with Fortune companies.
But most importantly, during these 4 years, TEKEVER developed a groundbreaking technology platform that enables complex
multi-channel applications to be built in record-breaking time, and
most importantly, with almost constant effort regardless of the number
of user-interaction channels. This technology allows non-technical
personnel to build complex applications, involving aspects like online
and offline execution; data storage, synchronization and encryption;
or channel coordination and interoperability.
During the last 2 years of this period, TEKEVER also
created its first evernet-enabled product: mBPM™ (multi-channel
Business Process Management), a product designed to enable companies
to manage and execute business processes that involve mobile resources
and constant evolution. In 2003 and 2004, almost 100% of the solutions
created for final customers where built using mBPM™ in order to provide
real-world testing environments, create re-usable solution patterns,
and lower design and development times. It was a tremendous success.
2005 to present
In 2005, TEKEVER began the big
organizational change of evolving from a services-oriented company to
a product-centric company. The drive for this evolution was growth and
international expansion. As a product company focused on innovation,
TEKEVER would be able to create global alliances with major consulting
and system integration companies, extending geographical and market
reach for distributing its products.
In 2005, TEKEVER expanded its geography by
opening offices in North America (Santa Clara, CA), South America (São
Paulo, Brazil) and Asia (Beijing, China). This way, TEKEVER could have
a global reach, undergoing business development activities to
establish and manage partnerships, and structuring a global sales
organization to gain market-leading references, leveraging on the
existing customer base, an innovative product portfolio, and proven
track-record of successful solutions deployed in world-class
organizations.
